Cambridge II

Of course it was more tempting to blog about Norway when I was there. So I left that promised update about our Cambridge trip hanging. I am sorry for that. Now that I am in UK again I think it is about time to post the second part!

I left it at Fitzwilliam Museum last time. Sadly we wheren't allowed to take pictures inside, except for in the entrance. SAD, because the baroque/roman interior inside was amazing - AMAZING. And the exhibition was impressive. I especially loved the old egyptian part.

Afterwards we walked up the road because the most known colleges was along it. We first arrived at a small one called Petershouse. Then we wandered to Kings College (I believe), which where closed to visitors. So we had to admire the beauty from the outside.

Ready to enter Fitzwilliam Museum~!
The amazing dome ceiling inside the entrance.
Happy girls~

Safe to say it must be astonishing inside :)

Manchester Part II

This is continuation from the first Manchester post I did. It is now 2 weeks since I and Shirley went on this trip - time flies so fast~! I meant to upload these a lot sooner, but busy times and poor health hasn't made it easy for me. Anyways, I stopped the post at the Manchester Art Museum last time so these pictures are from us leaving there and going to the John Ryland's Library. And let me tell you, it was amazing!

Best part was it was allowed to take pictures of the interior, just not the exhibition, so I snapped a lot. I really loved how the modern entrance building and the actual library was linked together. The atmosphere inside the old library was incredible.!

But we also passed some amazing architecture on our way there, and it was such a sunny and lovely day. Enjoy~

creepy hanging sculpture at the Manchester Art Museum.
View from the 2nd floor~
Random massive lovely old door.
Loved this building, but we couldn't access it.... :/
Manchester - a collage of old & new.
The John Ryland's Library
England and their weird spring events.....
Modern glass building right beside the library.
Look at the beautiful link of old and new, this is so good!
Entering the library~
The main hall.
Stairs up to the reading section.
The old reading booths/rooms.

Today I went to Cambridge with Shirley, Ali and Candice. I can't even begin to describe how amazing today's trip was, so I really need to get the last pictures from Manchester posted so I can start sharing ones from today. So I promise, the nest and last Manchester update will come as soon as possible :)

Hope every one is having a nice Saturday, whether it is a social one or a quiet relaxing one.

Manchester Part I

Between fevers and sleeps I have been trying to edit pictures from the Manchester trip all day. Took me a while but I finally have 20 pictures to share on the first part out of three from Manchester. It was a lovely sunny Saturday, and me and Shirley started the day by buying food and coffee before walking through china town to Manchester Art Gallery. I love how Manchester is a mix between modern and historic architecture.

To enter the Manchester Art gallery was free, and they had a very good exhibition. If you're ever there you should pop by their featured artist exhibition~!

Now feverish me is going to try and eat some more and probably fall in and out if sleep thought-out the night. How is it that you always get sick at the worst time? A part of me actually wish I had more fever so I wont be able to think about all the work I am not able to do right now... Oh well, I'll survive :D
